Super Eagles Coach,Stephen Keshi has revealed that German
born Bayer Leverkusen forward,Sidney Sam will make his debut for the country at
the FIFA Confederations cup in Brazil next June.
According to the coach, all papers regarding the change of
nationality documentation are in the final stages at the Zurich headquaters of
FIFA.
"I am happy that the lad is ready to play and the
federation is striving hard to make it happen. We are in the final stages of
securing clearance for him and he might be playing for us at the Confederations
Cup."
The Bayer Leverkusen forward who has a Nigerian father and a German mother has
played for Germany at the youth level but however has been overlooked by the
German coach Joachim Loew.
He has however switched allegiance to Nigeria after initially rejecting advances from
former Nigerian Coach Samson Siasia.
