Governor Mukhtar Yero |
The Kaduna state chapter of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) has accused the state government of not distributing materials to beneficiaries of the Subsidy Re-investment Programme (SURE-P) which was recently launched by Governor Mukhtar Yero.
The ACN in a statement by its chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Musa
Soba urged the governor to immediately release the items to the beneficiaries
or refund their money. According to him, 30 days after the commencement of the
exercise by Yero as part of activities marking his 100 days in office,
beneficiaries were yet to be given the items for which they borrowed money to
make deposit.
Soba said it was regrettable that a government that claims
to have ‘Youth Empowerment’ as the driving force of its security, peace and development
agenda would embark on deliberate deceit to further frustrate the youths and
make them vulnerable to crimes and other social vices.
