The latest breaking news coming out of Nigeria is that of
the untimely death of Josephine Okoye, mother to Nigeria and Africa’s leading
musicians, P-Square. My deepest of sympathies to the twins (P-Square), their
siblings Jude and Tony Okoye and the rest of the Okoye family and friends
grieving through this very difficult period.

I pray that your memories of the kind of woman your mother
was will bring you all comfort.
Indeed, it is really a beautiful thing that she got the
chance to see the fruits of her labor and she was a big fan of your music. May
her soul rest in peace.
“DEVELOPING STORY: The Okoyes, one of Africa’s most
prominent pop music families, have lost their mainframe with the passing
yesterday, of their mother Mrs Josephine Okoye.
No word yet from Peter, Paul, Tony, Jude and the rest of the
Okoye siblings. But those close to them have confirmed that the deceased passed
after being ill for sometime.
Fond of attending her son’s events as often as she can, her
last public appearance was at the Psquare Invasion concert in August 2011.”
